Is IRL humans free to join?
Yes! Creating a free IRL humans membership unlocks access to receive invitations to curated experiences throughout Toronto and the GTA.
We organize a mix of free events and events with a reservation fee. If an event requires payment, you'll see the price in your invitation before deciding whether to attend.
How does IRL humans work?
IRL humans is invitation-based.
Create your free membership once and leave the rest to us. As new events become available, we'll send invitations to members who are a good fit. If you're invited, we'll notify you by email or text, so there's no need to keep checking the app.
Can I register for events?
No. IRL humans works differently. Rather than registering for events, members receive invitations.
If you see an event on our social media (instagram) with an Event Code, you can submit it to express your interest. We'll take your interest into account when sending invitations, but entering an Event Code isn't a reservation or guarantee of an invitation.
What is an Event Code?
From time to time, we'll share events on our social media (instagram) with an Event Code.
Submitting the code during sign up or on your member's homepage lets us know you're interested in that event and would like to be considered for an invitation. It's a way to express your interest, not reserve a spot.
How are invitations decided?
We consider a variety of factors when deciding who to invite, including your interests, location, availability, age group, and any Event Codes you've submitted.
Our goal is to create balanced groups and meaningful experiences for everyone.
What kinds of events do you organize?
Everything from dinner parties and coffee meetups to pickleball, crafts, workshops, game nights, and more. Every event is designed to help you meet new people in a welcoming environment.
How often will I receive invitations?
There's no set schedule. Invitations are sent as new events become available and depend on the types of events you're interested in, your location, and other matching factors. Some members may receive invitations more frequently than others.
Is this a dating app?
No. IRL humans is intended for making friends, building community, and meeting new people through shared experiences. That said, you never know what can happen when great people connect.
